Yavuz Bingöl Cancels Malatya Concert for Urgent Gallbladder Surgery
Turkish folk singer Yavuz Bingöl, 61, announced on social media that he must undergo an urgent operation for a problem with his gallbladder. He said his doctor would not allow him to fly, forcing him to miss his scheduled performance at the 28th Malatya Apricot Festival in Malatya, Turkey. Bingöl reassured fans that the condition is not serious, stating the surgery will take place at the end of July or early August.
The festival organizers replaced Bingöl with Ender Balkır, who performed on the same evening.
