Turkish sitcom 'Çılgın Bediş' slated for 2027 cinema release starring Yonca Evcimik and Cenk Torun

The 1990s Turkish television series Çılgın Bediş, a cult favorite of its era, is being revived as a feature film. Producer Polat Yağcı of Poll Films confirmed that the project will bring the original lead actors Yonca Evcimik and Cenk Torun back together; both have signed on for the movie. Production plans target a February 2027 theatrical release, aiming to combine nostalgia for long‑time fans with appeal for new audiences.

The film will reunite other members of the original cast, though details remain under development. The project marks the first successful attempt to transfer the beloved sitcom to the big screen after several failed efforts in the past.
