Turkish Süper Lig sees high coaching turnover and Trabzonspor scoring surge

The first nine weeks of the Trendyol Süper Lig season have been marked by significant managerial changes and high-scoring performances. Seven clubs have replaced their head coaches due to sporting results and performance fluctuations. Notable changes include Gaziantep FK appointing Orhan Ak to replace Mirel Radoi, Trabzonspor hiring Thomas Reis following the departure of Fatih Tekke, and Bernd Storck taking over at Gençlerbirliği.

Other coaching shifts include Nenad Bjelica at Samsunspor, Burak Yılmaz at Çorum FK, and Mustafa Dalcı at Eyüpspor. Additionally, Fenerbahçe has seen the end of İsmail Kartal’s tenure, with the club currently evaluating its next steps.

In terms of on-field performance, Trabzonspor has achieved one of its most productive offensive starts in 16 seasons. Under the management of Thomas Reis, the team has scored 22 goals in the first nine weeks, trailing only Fenerbahçe’s 23 goals. This scoring rate is the highest for the club in this period since the 2010-2011 season.
