Turkish Sports Season Openings: Çenesuyu Plajyolu Football Club and Halkbank Women's Basketball League

Çenesuyu Plajyolu Spor Kulübü kicked off its 2026‑2027 amateur football season with a ceremony at the Bünyamin Akman Sports Facility in Kocaeli. The event, held on 4 August 2026, featured club officials, coaches, players, families and supporters and highlighted the team’s goals of unity, discipline and ambition for the new season.

The Turkish Basketball Federation announced the schedule for the Halkbank Kadınlar Basketbol Süper Ligi. Eleven teams will compete from 26 September 2026 through 6 March 2027. The opening week includes match‑ups such as Beşiktaş BOA vs. Melikgazi Kayseri Basketbol and Fenerbahçe Opet vs. Emlak Konut. Federation officials Bahar Çağlar Ökten and Esra Erden Atacan praised the previous season’s European successes and called for a competitive, fair‑play‑focused campaign.
