Turkish students achieve high university placement rankings in 2026 YKS

Following the 2026 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) results, various educational institutions in Turkey have reported significant student placements.

At Selahaddin Eyyubi Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi, 53 graduates successfully secured university placements. The cohort includes 19 students in medicine, 5 in dentistry, 2 in pharmacy, 3 in law, 13 in engineering, 4 in nursing, and others in fields such as theology, economics, and military studies. A ceremony was held at the Gedik Social Facilities, supported by the Yeşilyurt Municipality, to celebrate these achievements. Local officials, including Yeşilyurt Mayor İlhan Geçit and District National Education Director Caner Güler, attended the event to congratulate the students and emphasize the importance of foreign language proficiency.

Ordu University also saw notable placement trends. The Faculty of Medicine emerged as the most competitive program in the numerical category, filling its 125 spots with a ranking of 18,117, an improvement from the previous year. The Dentistry Faculty closed at a ranking of 32,333. In the verbal category, Special Education Teaching was the highest-ranking program, accepting students at a rank of 4,781. Other high-demand programs included Preschool Teaching and English Language and Literature.
