Turkish Supreme Court says “I don’t love you” is valid divorce reason

The case involved a young couple experiencing severe incompatibility; both partners filed divorce actions. A family court originally found the husband guilty of violence and granted the wife’s divorce request while rejecting the husband’s claim. On appeal, the Yargıtay upheld the divorce but also held the wife partially at fault, noting that her declaration “Ben eşimi sevmiyorum, sevgim bitti” was enough to justify the dissolution of the marriage.
