Turkish Taekwondo Federation holds 9th Financial General Assembly

The Turkish Taekwondo Federation held its 9th Financial General Assembly in Ankara. During the meeting, the management and audit board reports were approved, and estimated budgets for the 2027-2028 period were finalized. However, a motion regarding changes to the main statute was rejected by the delegates.

Federation President Bahri Tanrıkulu highlighted the organization's efforts to strengthen its institutional structure since October 2024, including the formation of referee committees and technical boards. He noted that 13 technical directors are currently working with national teams to drive athlete success. Tanrıkulu reported that the federation has won 963 international medals over the last two years, including 395 from major events such as World and European Championships.

Additionally, Tanrıkulu announced that Antalya will host the World Poomsae Championship in 2028. Regarding infrastructure, it was noted that land has been allocated in Ankara for the construction of a new sports complex.
