Turkish television series face cancellations and final season discussions

Several Turkish television productions are facing significant transitions. The series ‘Sevdam Karadeniz’, produced by Mia Yapım and filmed in Trabzon, is set to conclude its run in early November, reportedly due to low viewership ratings and high production costs. It is expected to air its final episode on November 2.

In contrast, the popular Show TV drama ‘Kızılcık Şerbeti’ continues its fifth season. While producer Faruk Turgut has addressed speculation regarding the show's longevity, noting that series should not be unnecessarily extended once a story is complete, no official final date has been set. The 144th episode is scheduled for broadcast on October 23, 2026.

Additionally, preparations are underway for the ATV series ‘Bir Hayat Hikayesi’, starring Hazal Subaşı and Birkan Sokullu. The production, which focuses on a mother's struggle to support her autistic son, has recently added İpek Tuzcuoğlu to its cast. Filming for this project is expected to begin in mid-November.
