Aşk ve Taht series to premiere on ATV

The new historical drama series ‘Aşk ve Taht’ (Love and Throne), produced by Bozdağ Film, is set to premiere on ATV on Wednesday, September 9. The series is based on the 13th-century Anatolian Seljuk era, focusing on the life of Sultan Alaeddin Keykubat and his relationship with the Alanya Princess Destina, historically known as Mahperi Hunat Hatun.

During a recent press conference, the cast and production team discussed the show’s themes of power, betrayal, and romance. Lead actor Akın Akınözü, who portrays Alaeddin Keykubat, has undergone a significant physical transformation, including growing his hair and beard to suit the historical period. The production aims to depict a pivotal era in Turkish history, set during the reigns of figures like Mevlana and Yunus Emre.
