Turkish towns Talas and Melikgazi launch property auctions with new financing schemes

The Talas municipality in Turkey announced a public auction of municipal assets, including three shops, an apartment, several commercial and residential land parcels, a model aircraft workshop, a cafeteria and an examination room. The auction will be conducted by open‑tender on 1 July 2026 at 14:00, with estimated prices ranging from 27.9 million to 16.5 million Turkish lira for the shops and 4.5 million lira for the apartment. Rental offers for the workshop, cafeteria and exam room start at 60 000, 15 000 and 45 000 lira respectively.

In the city of Melikgazi, the municipal council held a sales auction for properties in the Yıldırım Beyazıt, Battalgazi, Eğribucak and Anbar neighbourhoods as part of a urban‑renewal program. The borough introduced a "kazan kazan" financing model that allows buyers to pay a 25 % down‑payment, zero‑interest installments over 36 months, or receive a 30 % discount for cash purchases. Sold units include villas, apartments and commercial premises, with unsold assets slated for a follow‑up auction.

Both municipalities indicated that proceeds will be reinvested in local services and further development projects.
