Turkish Traditional Sports Federation holds 9th General Assembly

The Turkish Traditional Sports Branches Federation held its 9th Financial General Assembly in Ankara. During the meeting, the board of directors' activity and audit reports were approved. The assembly also deliberated on and approved the budgets for the 2025-2026 period, while the estimated budgets for 2027-2028 were also finalized.

Federation President Abdulhadi Turus emphasized the goal of integrating traditional sports into daily life rather than treating them merely as preserved heritage. He highlighted recent achievements, including training 145 coaches and 365 referees, and organizing 10 competitions involving 2,270 athletes over two years. Turus noted that activities involving disciplines such as Mangala, tug-of-war, and traditional sledding are designed to foster a festival-like atmosphere for families and communities.
