Turkish travel trends shift toward premium tours and holistic experiences
Turkish travelers are increasingly shifting their interest toward premium tour packages that offer end-to-end comfort, including integrated accommodation, transportation, and guided experiences. Industry representative Mehmet Kamçı noted that while premium tours may appear more expensive initially, the total cost difference decreases when considering extra fees and services included in the comprehensive packages.
Demand for specific destinations is rising, with a 70% increase in interest for Japan and a 50% increase for South Korea. Other notable routes for 2026 include Spain, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Italy, Bali, Singapore, and the United States. Additionally, the 'set-jetting' trend—where travelers visit locations featured in films and series—is gaining traction, particularly among Gen Z and Millennial travelers.
In the hospitality sector, İnovaspa founder Ömür Uzun highlighted the growing importance of high-quality spa services in enhancing hotel brand value and guest satisfaction. Uzun emphasized that modern travelers seek holistic experiences that allow for mental and physical renewal, making professional spa services a strategic component of the overall accommodation experience.
