Turkish universities bar KHK-dismissed individuals from new staff roles
Two Turkish universities, İzmir Bakırçay University and Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, have released job advertisements for contract personnel that explicitly exclude individuals dismissed from public service via Statutory Decrees (KHK).
İzmir Bakırçay University announced it is hiring six support staff members based on KPSS scores without written or oral exams. The recruitment notice specifies that individuals dismissed through various KHKs are ineligible to apply. Applications are open via the Kariyer Kapısı portal until October 13, 2026.
Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University is seeking 18 contract employees, including office staff, support personnel, and an engineer. Its announcement includes a broader restriction, stating that both those dismissed via KHK and those whose requests for reinstatement to public service have been rejected are barred from applying. Applications for this position are accepted through October 12, 2026.
