Turkish universities expand academic and economic ties with China

Turkish academic institutions are expanding cooperation with China through various economic and technological initiatives. Atatürk University participated in the Ice and Snow Seminar held in Harbin as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. This program focuses on the ‘Ice and Snow Economy,’ which encompasses winter tourism, winter sports, artificial snow applications, and scientific studies on extreme climate conditions.

Simultaneously, Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) conducted high-level meetings in Chengdu to strengthen international academic and technological ties. A memorandum of understanding was signed with the AI Digital Innovation & Intelligent Park. Discussions between the DEU delegation and Chinese officials covered biotechnology, artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and technology transfer, aiming to foster regional development through technology-based models.
