Turkish university rectors receive official credentials from YÖK

Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy have officially received their credentials following their appointments as university rectors by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The credentials were presented by the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, during a ceremony at the YÖK headquarters.

Prof. Dr. Nedim Sözbir, reappointed to lead Düzce University, expressed his commitment to advancing the institution through scientific research, university-industry cooperation, and internationalization.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ulusoy, appointed to Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, stated his intention to build upon the university's academic heritage and existing industry partnerships. He emphasized goals in education, innovation, and social contribution ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year. During the ceremony, Erol Özvar highlighted the 'Higher Education 2030' vision, urging universities to leverage regional strengths to create unique institutional value.
