Turkish veterans recognized for service in military operations

Yasin Koyuncu, who was wounded during Operation Peace Spring on October 12, 2019, has officially received his veteran status. The recognition was celebrated in the Hacılar district of Kırıkkale, where local officials, including Mayor Osman Erdoğan, issued messages of congratulations to Koyuncu and his family.

In a separate account, Recep Kamış, a 28-year-old specialist sergeant from Konya, has also been recognized as a veteran following injuries sustained during the Claw-Lock Operation in 2023. Kamış, who survived a serious traffic accident in 2011 before joining the Turkish Armed Forces, continues to participate in community programs with students and other veterans despite facing multiple personal hardships.
