Turkish volleyball players drive youth development initiatives
Former Turkish national volleyball player Emre Batur is establishing the Emre Batur Volleyball Academy in his hometown of Tokat. Batur, who has played for major clubs including Fenerbahçe and Halkbank, intends to share his professional experience and technical knowledge with local youth to foster future athletic talent.
In a separate development regarding youth sports success, Cennet İrem Çetin has risen to the national team level after being discovered through free volleyball courses provided by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality. Çetin, who currently plays for Antalyaspor and studies at Akdeniz University, was part of the U20 Women's National Volleyball Team that secured a bronze medal at a European championship held in Georgia in 2024.
