Turkish women's boxing, wrestling squads ready for European, World championships

Turkey's under‑19 women's boxing team, based in Kastamonu, is training with ten Azerbaijani boxers under coach Abdurrahman Özben. The squad aims to win ten medals at the European Championships in Serbia (11‑22 August) and highlighted boxer Azra Nur Çetin’s goal of becoming champion and hearing the national anthem on the podium.

The U‑20 women's wrestling national team, comprising 26 athletes, is holding a preparation camp in Afyonkarahisar under technical manager Erdem Yiğit. Coaches and staff, including Yakup Yağcı and Yasemin Adar Yiğit, are focusing on technique, tactics and conditioning ahead of the U‑20 World Championships in Slovakia, with the aim of representing Turkey strongly.
