Turkish Youth Foundations TÜGVA and TÜRGEV Host Large‑Scale Educational Programs

The Turkey Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) launched its summer school in Bilecik, aiming to serve 600,000 students this year, up from 400,000 last year. The event featured a Qur'an recitation, the national anthem, video presentations and speeches by TÜGVA leader İbrahim Beşinci, who outlined activities ranging from academic lessons to sports such as swimming and, if possible, golf. Local officials including the Bilecik governor and university rector attended the ceremony.

Separately, the Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TÜRGEV) celebrated its 30th anniversary in Istanbul with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, First Lady Emine Erdoğan and senior cabinet members. Chairperson Hatice Akıncı Yılmaz reported that the foundation has provided dormitory accommodation to more than 80,000 students, scholarships to over 16,000, and graduated 40,000 students since its inception. She highlighted the TÜRGEV Academy, Erasmus exchanges, psychological counseling services and specialized projects for disaster‑affected regions and Gaza literacy.
