Turkmenistan begins mass autumn wheat sowing

Mass autumn wheat sowing has commenced across all regions of Turkmenistan as of September 2. The start date was established by President Serdar Berdimuhamedow during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on August 28.

Farmers have prepared fields through plowing and leveling to ensure a productive season. The agricultural campaign utilizes high-quality seeds and specialized machinery. This initiative is part of a broader national program aimed at improving living standards in rural areas and towns through 2028, which includes the digitalization of the agricultural sector and the implementation of modern technologies and innovations.
