Turkmenistan begins seasonal cotton harvest

Turkmenistan has officially launched its seasonal cotton harvesting campaign. Following directives from the Cabinet of Ministers, farmers across all regions of the country have begun the harvest process.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedow held a working meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and regional governors to discuss agricultural progress. During the meeting, officials from the Ahal and Balkan regions reported on preparations for the cotton harvest and the organized planting of wheat.

The President emphasized the necessity of adhering to agrotechnical schedules for wheat planting and ensuring an organized start to the cotton harvest. Discussions also covered the maintenance of seasonal crops, such as autumn potatoes and vegetables, as well as the modernization of the agricultural sector through innovative technologies and improved irrigation methods.
