Turkmenistan Expands Economic Partnerships with EBRD and Uzbekistan

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development President Odile Renaud‑Basso in Ashgabat on 28 July, confirming readiness to broaden cooperation. The dialogue highlighted Turkmenistan’s focus on energy diversification, transport corridors, digital economy, green energy, water‑resource management and agriculture.

In a separate forum, the Turkmen‑Uzbek Business Forum convened in Ashgabat, attended by Uzbek Ambassador Ravshanbek Alimov and senior officials from both nations. Participants discussed joint industrial projects, especially in construction‑materials manufacturing, to support large‑scale urban development and infrastructure modernization in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
