Turkmenistan hosts international conference on Alabay and Tazy dogs

The VI International Scientific Conference, titled ‘Breeding of the Turkmen Alabay and Tazy: History, Culture, and Art’, was held at the S. A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University. The event was organized in celebration of the Turkmen Alabay Day.

Participants included professional breeders, cynologists, professors, and students. The conference featured an exhibition of national values, including artworks and books dedicated to the Alabay and Tazy breeds, as well as veterinary literature and educational materials on cynology.

Speakers noted that through national initiatives, these breeds have gained global recognition as part of universal human heritage. Efforts continue to scientifically study their history and development while promoting their preservation and international reputation.
