Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 opens in Ashgabat

The Turkmenistan Investment Forum 2026 (TIF 2026) has commenced in Ashgabat, bringing together international investors, financial experts, and leaders from various economic sectors. The two-day event focuses on fostering international business cooperation and exploring investment opportunities in key sectors including energy, petrochemicals, transport, logistics, trade, industry, agribusiness, and the digital economy.

During the forum, Mammetguly Astangulov, the Minister of Finance and Economy, delivered a keynote speech highlighting Turkmenistan’s macroeconomic stability. He reported that the country’s GDP reached 77.4 billion dollars by the end of 2025, with a stable growth rate of 6.3 percent. Astangulov also noted that inflation was 3.6 percent in the first half of the current year and that investment volume exceeded 12.8 billion dollars last year.

The forum includes plenary sessions, B2B and B2G meetings, and the signing of joint documents. Prior to the business sessions, participants engaged in cultural programs to explore Turkmenistan’s history, including visits to the Old Nisa archaeological complex and the National Museum of Turkmen Carpet.
