Turkmenistan launches higher vocational education strategy for 2026–2052

Turkmenistan has introduced the ‘Strategy for the Development of Higher Vocational Education in Turkmenistan for 2026–2052’, alongside an implementation plan for the 2026–2030 period. The strategy was developed following a proposal made during the People's Council meeting on September 24, 2024.

The primary objectives of this initiative include improving the quality and level of higher vocational education, ensuring professionals meet the specific demands of the labor market, and increasing accessibility to higher education. The plan also aims to enhance the international competitiveness of the national higher education system by aligning it with global standards and strengthening the links between education, science, innovation, and production.
