Turkmenistan targets diverse sectors for economic investment
Turkmenistan is implementing an investment strategy aimed at fostering socio-economic development and strengthening international cooperation. The government is focusing both domestic and foreign investments on several key sectors, including oil and gas, chemicals, recycling, textiles, and the construction-industrial complex.
Additional investment efforts are directed toward developing the tourism industry, modernizing transportation infrastructure such as roads, railways, and airports, and transforming the agricultural sector. The strategy also encompasses improvements in healthcare and science and education systems.
As a result of these economic policies, the country has maintained a stable Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate of 6.3 percent in recent years, creating an effective economic environment for investment opportunities.
