TURKSOY International Theatre Festival held in Andijan

The 4th TURKSOY International Theatre Festival took place in Andijan, Uzbekistan, featuring various performances from Turkic nations.

The Azerbaijan State Pantomime Theatre received the award for ‘Best Stage Plasticity’ for its production “Iblis” (The Devil). Directed by Honored Artist Behruz Vaqifoglu, the 40-minute performance uses non-verbal physical expression, music, and light to explore themes of human nature, morality, and the search for evil within oneself.

Turkmenistan’s Main Academic Drama Theatre presented “The White Horse,” a production based on the work of Baba Annanov. The play, directed by Mekan Jumabayev, tells a story of memory and loss inspired by the Ashgabat earthquake and the personal life of the author, focusing on a mother's search for her son.
