Turo launches Tesla FSD rental service in the US

Car-sharing platform Turo has announced the launch of the first verified Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) rental service in the United States, effective October 28. Through an API integration, the platform will allow users to search for and book specific Tesla vehicles equipped with FSD capabilities.

To encourage participation, Turo is offering eligible U.S. Tesla owners a one-month free trial of the FSD subscription. The platform currently hosts thousands of FSD-capable Teslas. Turo, often described as the “Airbnb of car rentals,” projects total bookings of $3.3 billion and revenue of $1.2 billion for 2026, marking its fifth consecutive year of profitability.

Users are advised that FSD (Supervised) remains a Level 2 driver-assist system. Drivers must maintain constant attention and be prepared to take control at any time, as the system is not fully autonomous.
