Turtle the cat reunited with family after 571 days missing

A cat named Turtle has been reunited with his owner, Kelly Moore, in Greenwich, Connecticut, after being missing for 571 days. Turtle originally disappeared in March 2025 after escaping through a partially open screen door.

Rocket Lost Pet Rescue founder Rocco Autero assisted in the search, noting that while the cat was initially seen on local cameras, sightings eventually ceased. The breakthrough occurred when a cat was found in Mamaroneck, New York. A microchip scan confirmed the animal's identity as Turtle, who had originally been a stray from Tennessee.

Following the identification, the cat was transported back to his home in Connecticut.
