TUSAŞ demonstrates advanced UAV and kamikaze drone capabilities
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has demonstrated advanced unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities during the Ateş Serbest-2026 exercise. The testing featured new generation kamikaze UAVs, including the AYAZ platform, which successfully completed its first live-fire mission with a warhead, striking land targets with precision. Other systems tested included the SÜPER ŞİMŞEK and ŞİMŞEK K, which showcased autonomous navigation and high-speed jet UAV capabilities.
In a separate successful test, the AKSUNGUR UAV, developed by TUSAŞ, successfully deployed the TOLUN P bunker-buster munition developed by ASELSAN. The guided munition accurately struck its intended target, marking a significant integration milestone for the high-payload AKSUNGUR platform. The TOLUN P is designed to engage both hard and soft land targets and can be deployed from various aerial platforms via multi-carrier release systems.
