TUSAŞ leads Türkiye R&D investment with 65.2 billion TL

TUSAŞ has maintained its position as the leader in research and development in Türkiye, according to the 13th annual “Türkiye Ar-Ge 500” research conducted by Turkishtime. Based on 2025 performance data, the company invested 65.2 billion TL in R&D, representing a 26.6% increase compared to the previous year.

In addition to its financial leadership, TUSAŞ ranked first in utility model registrations with 43 new models recorded in 2025. The company also secured 66 new patents, placing it fourth nationally in patent acquisitions. Regarding human resources, TUSAŞ employs 5,100 R&D personnel, including 1,190 women, making it the second-largest employer in the sector.

The research also highlighted the economic impact of innovation. In the newly introduced category of “Top 100 Exporters with R&D Products,” TUSAŞ ranked third, generating 58.9 billion TL in exports from R&D-driven products between 2023 and 2025. Overall, the defense and aerospace industry ranked second in this category with total exports of 245.1 billion TL, following the automotive sector.
