Tuscaloosa celebrates Black Warrior River boat ramp improvements
State and local officials held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, to mark the completion of major renovation projects at the Riverview Public Boat Ramp in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
The improvements at Riverview Landing, located at 599 7th NE Ave., included the installation of a new access pier, a new launching slab, and the paving of the parking area. The facility is now Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible.
In addition to the Riverview site, officials celebrated completed upgrades at the Foster’s Ferry boat ramp in Tuscaloosa County and the Moundville boat ramp. The projects were made possible through partnerships between the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR), the City of Tuscaloosa, and state legislators to enhance outdoor recreation access on the Black Warrior River.
