Tuscan restaurants highlight seasonal cuisine
Restaurants in the Tuscany region are introducing new culinary offerings focused on local seasonality and regional identity.
In Fauglia, within the province of Pisa, Ristorante Il Sorpasso features the cuisine of Chef Savino Troia. The establishment is situated in a scenic landscape characterized by the rolling hills and agricultural traditions of the Tuscan countryside.
In the Val d'Orcia region, Vitaleta Gourmet has launched an autumn menu led by Chef Antonio Pastore. The new menu emphasizes seasonal ingredients such as porcini mushrooms, chestnuts, saffron, truffles, and game. A notable dish, ‘Sottobosco’, is a dessert designed to evoke the atmosphere of local chestnut groves using chocolate, chestnut cream, and mushroom-infused English cream.
