Tuscany AI satire video leads to criminal investigation
An Italian videomaker, Giorgio Galimberti, is under investigation by the Florence Prosecutor's Office after creating a satirical video using artificial intelligence. The footage depicted various Tuscan locations, including Florence, Siena, Pisa, Livorno, and Arezzo, as war zones inspired by the video game 'Call of Duty'.
The video, which went viral on social media, featured military vehicles, explosions, and combat scenes. Authorities took particular interest in a sequence showing a soldier launching a rocket toward the Palace of Justice in Florence. Following the outcry, the Digos conducted a search of Galimberti's home. He is currently being investigated under the suspicion of incitement to commit a crime or incitement to violence.
