Tuscany allocates 9.3 million euros for strategic vocational training

The Tuscany Region has allocated 9.3 million euros from the PR FSE+ 2021-2027 fund to support vocational training in strategic economic sectors. Through 11 public notices, the initiative aims to develop professional skills required by the regional production system.

The training programs are designed for unemployed individuals, inactive persons, and workers currently under extraordinary wage guarantee funds (CIGS) with a reduction in working hours of 50 percent or more. The targeted sectors include craftsmanship, fashion, metallurgy, mechanics, tourism, and transport.

Regional President Eugenio Giani described the move as a significant investment to meet the concrete needs of the production system. Regional Councilor for Labor and Training Alberto Lenzi stated the goal is to bridge the gap between training and the labor market by addressing difficult-to-fill professional roles.
