Tuscany announces scholarship and housing eligibility for university students
The Regional Agency for the Right to University Study (DSU Toscana) has released the provisional rankings for the 2026/2027 academic year. A total of 18,671 students enrolled in Tuscan universities have been deemed eligible for scholarships.
Of these eligible students, 8,728 are entitled to accommodation in university residences located in Florence, Pisa, Siena, and other DSU Toscana locations. The data highlights a significant international presence, with 4,765 students from non-EU countries eligible for housing, representing more than half of the potential residents.
In Florence specifically, 8,020 students are eligible for scholarships, with 3,532 also qualifying for housing, including 1,955 international students. Regional Councilor for University and the Right to Study, Cristina Manetti, emphasized that these investments in scholarships, cafeterias, and residences aim to ensure educational access regardless of a student's economic background or origin.
