Pisa’s Domus Mazziniana and Rosignano’s Palazzo Bombardieri Museums Keep Regional Relevance Status

The Tuscan regional museum system has renewed the "Museo di rilevanza regionale" status for two institutions. The Archaeological Museum "Palazzo Bombardieri" in Rosignano Marittimo secured the designation for the next three‑year period, confirming its compliance with high standards in collection management, conservation, education and universal accessibility. Mayor Claudio Marabotti welcomed the renewal, highlighting the museum’s strategic value for the community and cultural tourism.

Similarly, the Domus Mazziniana in Pisa was confirmed as a museum of regional relevance. The renewal follows an assessment that validates the museum’s quality in organization, preservation, visitor services and accessibility. Director Pietro Finelli noted that more than 40% of its visitors are international, underscoring its role as a cultural showcase for Pisa and Tuscany. Institute president Paolo Mancarella and regional culture assessor Cristina Manetti also praised the achievement, which coincides with the museum’s upcoming 75th anniversary.
