Dario Rosini appointed director of Asl Toscana Sud Est

In Tuscany, regional president Eugenio Giani has appointed Dario Rosini as the new general director of Asl Toscana Sud Est. Rosini, currently the administrative director at Careggi Hospital, has extensive experience within the regional health system, having previously held leadership roles in the former Asl 9 of Grosseto and the former Usl 7 of Siena.

Regional health officials, including Monia Monni, have been conducting inspections of territorial health facilities, such as the Casa della Comunità HUB in Siena and sites in Radda in Chianti, to strengthen local healthcare access. Meanwhile, political tensions have emerged regarding the future of the Pacini hospital in San Marcello Piteglio following discussions about its status as a disadvantaged area emergency room.

In the Lazio region, President Francesco Rocca inaugurated four new Casa della Comunità hubs in Sperlonga, Terracina, San Felice Circeo, and Sabaudia. These facilities, funded by the PNRR, aim to provide proximity-based services including specialist visits, nursing, and social assistance to both residents and tourists.

In Lombardy, the Brianza area, specifically Lissone, is facing a shortage of primary care physicians, leaving thousands of patients without a dedicated doctor. Local authorities have implemented temporary medical clinics within community houses as a stopgap measure.
