Tuscany infrastructure under fire following Fi-Pi-Li road failures

European Parliament member Francesco Torselli has criticized the state of infrastructure in Tuscany following recent road failures and closures on the Fi-Pi-Li highway, specifically affecting access to central Livorno.

Torselli questioned the management of Toscana Strade and the allocation of funds earmarked for road maintenance and feasibility studies since 2020. He argued that the current state of regional infrastructure, characterized by frequent construction sites and road collapses, negatively impacts citizens, workers, and businesses. He further noted that Tuscany's competitive standing compared to other Italian regions has declined due to a lack of serious investment and planning.
