Tuscany prepares commemorations for Oriana Fallaci's 20th anniversary

The Tuscany Region is preparing a series of initiatives to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of journalist and writer Oriana Fallaci. Cristina Manetti, the regional councilor for culture, stated that the program aims to reflect on Fallaci’s complex figure and her profound connection to the Tuscany region.

Proposed activities include guided tours of the Oriana Fallaci Archive (Fondo Oriana Fallaci), which holds significant documentation of her professional and human journey. The region is also considering a special event involving cultural institutions, scholars, and journalists to engage new generations with her legacy.

In a related development, Riccardo Nencini is set to release a book through Mondadori in April 2026 titled ‘Mai stanca di vivere’. The work explores Fallaci’s life and passions through the lens of Nencini’s personal friendship with the author, aiming to provide a lucid and emotional portrait of the influential writer.
