Tuscany public‑transport fares rise on August 1
From 1 August 2026 the regional bus operator Autolinee Toscane will apply new fare tables across the whole of Tuscany. The standard urban ticket will increase from €1.70 to €2.00, and the higher‑price urban ticket from €1.30 to €1.50. A 10‑ticket carnet will rise from €15.50 to €18.20 and the ordinary monthly pass from €38.70 to €42.20. Similar hikes apply to extra‑urban tickets: the 0‑10 km fare will go from €1.70 to €2.00 and the 10‑20 km fare from €2.90 to €3.40. All other concessionary tickets – annual, quarterly, student and ISEE‑based rates – remain unchanged. Tickets and passes purchased before 31 July can still be used until 31 January 2027, and existing subscriptions stay valid until their natural expiry. The price changes are justified by the regional contract and rising inflation, and are expected to affect commuters, students and occasional travellers throughout the region.
