Tuscany Region allocates 100,000 euros for Figline e Incisa Valdarno redevelopment

The Tuscany Regional Council has approved an allocation of 100,000 euros for the municipality of Figline e Incisa Valdarno. The funds are designated for the structural recovery and redevelopment of recreational and social spaces in the hamlet of Poggio alla Croce.

Specific projects include improvements to the Piazza del Giaggiolo, the restoration of old washhouses, and upgrades to the local sports field. Planned works for the public square involve installing shading structures and new urban furniture. The washhouse restoration will include repairing stone walls, restoring existing paving, and recovering the access staircase from Via del Crocino. Additionally, maintenance is planned for the sports field's fencing.

Regional President Eugenio Giani stated that these interventions are part of a broader initiative to support smaller realities within the ‘Toscana diffusa’. Work is scheduled to begin in February of next year, with an expected completion date by the end of September 2027.
