Tuscany Region to invest 210,000 euros in Vicopisano public lighting
The Tuscany Region has approved a 210,000 euro investment to upgrade and improve public lighting in the municipality of Vicopisano. The funding is scheduled to be distributed over two years, with 39,190 euros allocated for 2026 and 170,810 euros for 2027.
The project includes modernization efforts that require specific authorizations to protect the urban landscape and approval from the Superintendency for the adjustment of the city's monumental lighting. The initiative aims to provide a functional lighting system that meets citizen needs while adhering to environmental efficiency and energy consumption standards.
Regional President Eugenio Giani stated that the project is intended to maintain urban decorum, enhance safety, improve road visibility, and highlight the artistic and architectural heritage of the area through eco-efficient resource use.
