Tuscany Region approves 10 million euro funding for public sports facilities

The Tuscany Region has approved a list of beneficiaries for a 10 million euro funding program aimed at supporting public sports facilities and spaces. A total of 32 projects were selected from 217 applications submitted by municipalities, provinces, and metropolitan cities.

Among the recipients is the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, which will receive over 400,000 euros to invest in its sports field. Regional President Eugenio Giani noted that the majority of applications came from small to medium-sized municipalities, emphasizing the social importance of sports in these communities. Giani also expressed hope for expanding the program through future budget variations to include more beneficiaries.
