Tuscany Region proposes special law for Elba and Tuscan Archipelago
Tuscany Region President Eugenio Giani has announced plans to develop a special law dedicated to the needs of Elba Island and the entire Tuscan Archipelago. The proposed legislative framework aims to provide dedicated resources and more efficient services to address the unique geographical and social challenges faced by these island territories.
A primary objective of the initiative is to combat depopulation by improving the quality of life for residents and creating better opportunities for those living and working on the islands year-round. The regional government intends to treat the needs of these island communities with the same priority as major art cities, industrial areas, and other Tuscan territories.
Additionally, the law seeks to enhance the cultural and touristic attractiveness of the archipelago through a model of sustainable growth that respects the local environment and landscape.
