Tuscany unveils 2026 school voucher scheme and Next Generation youth festival

The Tuscany regional government has opened the “Buoni scuola anno 2026” programme, offering families with children in municipal or private preschool schools a voucher of €200‑€500 per month. Eligibility is limited to households with an ISEE below €30,000, and the support covers tuition fees and meal costs from November 2026 to June 2027. Applications must be submitted to the municipality that hosts the school, with municipalities required to set a deadline of 25 September 2026.

In parallel, Tuscany announced the fifth edition of the Next Generation Fest, scheduled for 10 October 2026 at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence. Part of the Giovanisì youth policy, the free event will feature representatives from the European Parliament, the Italian armed forces, regional agencies and cultural figures, aiming to connect thousands of young people with opportunities in education, employment, entrepreneurship and civic participation. Regional President Gianfranco Giani highlighted the festival as a key platform for sustaining youth talent and involvement in regional development.
