Tuukka Taponen to continue with Ferrari Driver Academy

Ferrari has confirmed that 19-year-old Finnish driver Tuukka Taponen will continue with the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy. Taponen, who joined the academy in 2022, is set to move up to the FIA Formula 2 championship next season.

He will compete in all rounds of the Formula 2 season with the ART Grand Prix team. This move follows Taponen’s successful performance in the FIA Formula 3 series, where he finished third in the standings after securing the highest number of points during the second half of the season.

Taponen is the first Finnish driver in the history of the academy. The program, based in Maranello, focuses on developing young talent for Formula 1 through technical, physical, mental, and media training.
