Tuva Hansen donates puppy sale proceeds to athlete rehabilitation
Norwegian footballer Tuva Hansen is donating 120,000 NOK from the sale of her four puppies to Idrettens Helsesenter. The funds are intended to provide young football players, both male and female under the age of 20, with access to Game Ready machines.
Hansen, who is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury, noted that these cold and compression machines help reduce swelling and pain following surgery. She highlighted that such equipment is often not covered by insurance, making it a significant cost for young athletes.
In addition to the donation, Hansen organized a “puppy yoga” session for the Norwegian national team players at their hotel to foster social connection while she is sidelined by her injury. Two of the puppies have been adopted by national team teammates Elisabeth Terland and Guro Reiten.
