Tuyen Quang accelerates construction of border boarding schools
Tuyen Quang provincial leaders are pushing to ensure the timely completion of key educational infrastructure projects in border areas. Hau A Lenh, Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee, recently inspected the progress of the Bach Dich inter-level boarding school project in Trang Le village.
The Bach Dich school is part of a larger initiative to construct 17 inter-level boarding schools across the province's border communes, divided into two phases. The Bach Dich site covers over 5 hectares and is expected to serve more than 1,000 students across 31 classrooms, including auxiliary facilities such as a multi-purpose hall, sports field, dormitory, and kitchen.
In the first phase, the Thanh Thuy and Minh Tan schools became operational on September 5, 2026. Four other schools—Pho Bang, Son Vi, Xin Man, and Pa Vay Su—have reached a construction volume of approximately 70% to 95% of their contract values. Officials have emphasized the need to maintain construction quality, safety, and environmental standards to improve educational conditions for students in these disadvantaged highland regions.
