Tuyen Quang Education Director prosecuted in exam misconduct case

The Ministry of Public Security's Security Investigation Agency has announced the prosecution of Vu Dinh Hung, the Director of the Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training, along with 40 other defendants. The case is linked to incidents occurring at the Tuyen Quang High School for the Gifted examination site.

The 41 individuals are being investigated for ‘Abuse of position and power while performing official duties,’ as stipulated under Article 356 of the Penal Code. Hung, who holds the highest position among the accused, previously served as the Chairman of the Ham Yen District People's Committee before being appointed Director of the Department in 2019.

Following the administrative merger of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang in July 2025, Hung was reappointed to his role. During the 2026 high school graduation exam period, he served as the Deputy Standing Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for the examination.
